STUDENT ARRIVAL
Each teacher has a designated entrance where he or she will enter.
Student Drop-off
Please do not bring your student to school before 7:30 am.
- All HES car-rider traffic is advised to use 1st Street to approach the school on Arnold Ave.
- Temporary one-way travel will be limited between Arnold Ave housing entrance (Sumac/Cliffrose)
- Remain in your car and allow staff to assist students exit the vehicle.
K-5 Students
Use the pick-up and drop-off lane in front of the school.
Pre-K Students
Use the Pre-K pick-up and drop-off loop on the southewest side of the Pre-K building.
Park and Pick-up or Drop-off
Use the Pre-K parking area on the southwest side of the school if parking is necessary. Parents of K-5 students are strongly encouraged to use the pick-up and drop-off lane in front of the school.
Walkers
There is a single-point, manned crosswalk for all parent/child pedestrian traffic in front of the school.
Pre-K Bus Riders
Pre-K bus riders will be walked from the bus to the classroom.
Late Arrivals
Please ring the doorbell at the front entrance of the building.
DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
Release times for Elementary:
Grades K-5: Monday & Tuesday / Thursday & Friday at 3:00 pm and Wednesday at 1:00 pm.
Release times for Pre-K:
3 year olds: Monday & Tuesday / Thursday & Friday at 3:00 pm
4 year olds: Monday & Tuesday / Thursday & Friday at 2:45 pm and Wednesday at 12:45 pm.
Student Pick-up
Please follow the procedures as outlined above.
Walkers
There is a single-point, manned crosswalk for all parent/child pedestrian traffic in front of the school.
If you are late, you will need to pick up your student at the front office.
Pre-K Bus Riders
Pre-K bus riders will be walked to the bus. In the event of inclement weather, Pre-K students will wait in the classroom until the bus arrives.
Early Sign-Out
If you need to sign your student out early, call the front office (575-812-6100) before arriving at the building. Once you arrive, ring the doorbell, and a staff member will check your ID before releasing the student. If the ID holder is NOT on the contact list, the student will NOT be released. Please ensure that contact and emergency information has been updated on PowerSchool.
