If students are not in compliance, they will be escorted to the school nurse's office. Policy J-5350 JLCD (for High School Requirements) states: High school students may carry medications in the following situations... • They do not require supervision to take their medication(s) NOTE: Those students who do require supervision/monitoring will follow the procedures for Elementary and Middle School Students. •The medication is not a controlled drug, such as Ritalin, codeine, morphine, etc. •The medication is in the original container, which has a legible, professional label. •The student carries no more than two doses in the container. •Parents/guardians should be aware of students carrying medication. Due to the variety of classes, AHS students have a very basic list so you don't purchase unnecessary items. Students will be provided with a list of additional supplies from teachers on the first day of school. 🖍 APS partnered with Teacher Lists to make back-to-school shopping easier for families. You can easily fill your online shopping cart with your favorite retailer through the Teacher Lists website, or if you prefer, you can print the supply list and shop in your favorite local stores.
