Bio:
This is Mrs. Roush’s third year as a Holloman Elementary School administrator. She moved to Alamogordo from Arizona ten years ago to teach at the school. During her time with APS, Mrs. Roush served as a 5th-grade teacher, specializing in mathematics and science, and as an instructional coach for the district.
With over 20 years in the field of education, Mrs. Roush has both elementary and middle school teaching experience in her roles as an instructional assistant, classroom teacher, and interventionist. Through the years, she has participated in a wide variety of Arizona Department of Education/ NM Public Educational Department programs and committees.
Having spent all of her childhood as a military dependent, living domestically and abroad, Mrs. Roush graduated high school in Germany at Kaiserslautern American High School. A “dandelion” herself, she has a passion for supporting military children, helping them bloom wherever they are planted by the winds that carry them.
As a New Mexico transplant, Mrs. Roush enjoys traveling around the state, sampling the delicious cuisine, hiking the vast trails, and learning about the state’s unique history and cultures.
Mrs. Roush is married and has two grown children (both AHS graduates) and two grandchildren. All live in the Alamogordo community.
