Today we celebrated New Mexico’s Be Here Day in the most fun way possible! Every student who showed up received TWO temporary tattoos… with one important mission: pass them along to a staff member! 😄

Students at Holloman Elementary will get a chance to “tattoo” a staff member of their choice! 💖
Here’s how it works:
Upon school drop-off, students will receive 3 tattoos.
They will choose which staff member(s) they want to “tattoo.”
Place the tattoo(s) inside the ziplock bag with the staff’s picture taped on it.
Voting will happen at the Library / LEGO Windows inside the school.
Students can choose 1 staff member or up to 3 different staff members. The more, the merrier! Let’s have fun celebrating Be Here Day together! 🎨✨

With state assessments taking place this month, consistent attendance helps students feel confident, prepared, and supported. Just as important as being present is being on time. Arriving late can cause students to miss important instructions and disrupt the start of their day.
Campuses open early each morning and offer free breakfast to all students. 🥞 Arriving early can help families avoid drop-off traffic, allow students to enjoy breakfast with their peers, and help them start the day in a calm, positive way. March 17th was full of green, giggles, and just a little bit of leprechaun mischief! 💚 Our school showed up dressed head to toe in green, ready to celebrate. And those sneaky little leprechauns definitely made their presence known!
From tiny surprises to playful messes, our students had so much fun wondering what those tricky visitors would do next. 🌈✨
A special highlight of the day; Mrs. Kangas joined our 2nd grade classroom and had an absolute blast diving into all things STEM with our students! 🧪💡 The excitement and engagement were amazing to see!
It was a magical day filled with laughter, creativity, and a whole lot of school spirit!

Our 1st graders had an amazing time in Art Specials exploring air drying clay! Using their imagination, creativity, and tiny sculptor hands, they designed some truly incredible sculptures. From animals to imaginative creations, each piece showed just how creative our young artists can be.
