From perfectly coordinated twins to adorable Thing One and Thing Two duos, the creativity, school spirit, and smiles were everywhere you looked. It was such a joy seeing friends, classmates, and even teachers matching and celebrating together!

We kicked off our Dr. Seuss Week on Monday with “Wear a Hat, Stripes, or Be the Cat in the Hat” Day , and WOW, our students absolutely delivered! ❤️🤍

Who Needs to Apply?
▪️Incoming Kindergartners: All children starting school for the first time in the 2026-27 year.
▪️Rising 6th Graders: Current 5th graders who wish to attend a middle school other than their zoned school.
▪️New Enrollments: Any student moving into the district or transferring from a private/charter school for the upcoming year.
▪️New Applications: Any student who hasn't had an application submitted before, and now an OOZ needs to be considered.
🛑 Already Out-of-Zone? > If you are a current OOZ student, this form isn't for you! Please follow the instructions in your Letter of Intent or Probation Letter to secure your spot for next year.

🌟🔬 Science Fair Success at Holloman Elementary! 🔬🌟
What an incredible day celebrating curiosity, creativity, and hard work at our Science Fair! From the moment the doors opened, you could feel the energy vibrating through the room. The excitement was contagious, and the pride on our students’ faces said it all.
Our students did an outstanding job. Not only with their projects, but especially during their interviews. They spoke confidently, explained their thinking clearly, and truly demonstrated their understanding of the scientific process. It was amazing to watch them share their learning with such enthusiasm and ownership.
Each display represented dedication, perseverance, and growth. Whether experiments worked perfectly the first time or required a few adjustments along the way, our students showed resilience and problem-solving skills that made us all proud.
A huge thank you to our families and staff for supporting our young scientists. Today was a beautiful reminder of what happens when curiosity meets opportunity. Our students shine! ✨

To streamline our Out-Of-Zone (OOZ) process for returning students and to provide our families with more peace of mind, we have replaced the full annual application with a simplified Letter of Intent. 📝
📱For current OOZ students in grades K–4, 6, and 7, who have been pre-approved, parents/guardians will receive a Letter of Intent via the guardian's email listed in PowerSchool beginning today. If you expect a letter and don't receive one this week, please call Let's Talk! 575-812-8573 starting Tuesday, February 17. 💻

Our teachers went back to the classroom last week! 🍎 We were thrilled to host a school wide Kagan Professional Development session, and the energy in the room was absolutely electric.
From the first "Timed Pair Share" to the final team-building activity, our educators were fully immersed in learning new ways to boost student engagement and cooperative learning. It wasn't just a lecture, it was a hands on, high energy experience!

We want to remind drivers of the importance of using caution as you drive through school zones and encounter 🚌 school buses in the mornings and afternoons. Please obey school zones' speed limits, and come to a COMPLETE STOP while the bus stop signal is out, and only proceed driving after the STOP signal is REMOVED by the bus driver. 🚌
