Our Eagles got hands-on in science lab this week with a fun baking soda and vinegar experiment! 🥼✨ Students explored chemical reactions, made predictions, observed what happened when the ingredients combined, and watched science come to life right before their eyes! 👀🫧
We LOVE seeing our students engaged, curious, asking questions, and learning through hands-on discovery! Science is even more exciting when our Eagles get to be the scientists. 🧑🔬🦅

Reminder! Did you know? 🚌On the 40th, 80th & 120th day of school, APS captures a snapshot of the bus ridership to report to NMPED. The information collected on this day is very important and impacts the funding our district receives for transportation. Transportation funding not only supports students' daily rides to and from school, it can also support in-district school field trips. 🚌 Tomorrow, Thursday, October 8th, if your child is a bus rider, please help us provide an accurate count by having them ride the bus. 🚌

Yesterday, our Eagles had some very special visitors on campus! We were so excited to welcome our local firefighters for Fire Prevention Week! ❤️
Our students had the opportunity to learn important fire safety tips, ask questions, and see some of the amazing equipment firefighters use to help keep our community safe. 🧯👩🚒👨🚒

Our mathematicians in Mrs. Harris’ class turned their math skills into a fun and creative project! 🧮✨
Students designed and built their very own 3D food trucks complete with menus, food and drink items, and prices featuring decimals. 🌮🍕🥤🚚
But the real challenge? They became the business owners! 👩🍳👨🍳 Students used their menus to create guest checks for 8 customers, added up orders to find each total, and used subtraction to calculate the correct change. 💵➕➖
This hands-on activity gave our students a fun way to practice adding and subtracting decimals while also letting their creativity shine! 🎨✂️📚
