Our first graders have been working incredibly hard to become young authors! They dove into the genre of informative writing and each student chose a special animal to study. Through research and fact-finding, they became true little experts on their animals!
The best part? Each student created their very own informational book. From start to finish! 🐾📖 Their creativity, focus, and determination truly amazed us.

Last week (December 1–5) was an incredible week for our First LEGO League team! Our students came back from break full of energy and excitement, ready to dive back into their missions. They did an amazing job collaborating, problem-solving, and bringing their ideas to life.
We were so proud to see them working together to code their robots, test their designs, and show so much creativity and determination. Their teamwork and focus made our sessions extremely successful, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!

💗 Alamogordo Public Schools & the Special Education Department invite you to support COPE Center of Protective Environment through the Pajama Program!
Boxes will be available in Building A of the Administration building, 1211 Hawaii Ave, from December 2 to December 16. New books and pajamas can be added to these boxes. COPE is also in need of new batteries, pet supplies, pillows, towels, and laundry detergent. Monetary donations can be made out to the Center of Protective Environment of Alamogordo.

The information collected on this day is very important and impacts the funding our district receives for transportation. Transportation funding not only supports students' daily rides to and from school, it can also support in-district school field trips.
